For a long time, my discernment journey felt like a series of sprints. You prepare for a meeting, you put on your “professional” face for an hour, and then you get to go home, close the door, and let your brain decompress.

Event at Stage 1, that day of interviews felt ‘do-able’ simply because it was 15 minutes of structured interview, followed by 45 mins of a break and rest, and yes - reading up on what I was likely to be asked. It was ok.

But as I look toward the next stage—the residential assessment (stage 2)—the sprints have turned into an endurance test. A Marathon Awaits!

It’s one thing to be “on” for an hour. It’s quite another to be “on” for forty-eight.
