“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” — Matthew 6:34 (NIV)
“Waiting Mode” is a well-known neurodivergent trap: if you have an important meeting at 3 PM, you cannot do anything else for the entire day. The anticipation of the next ecclesiastical hoop to jump through paralyses our present reality. Jesus gently reminds us that we cannot live in tomorrow’s discernment panel; we are only given the grace to live in today.
💬 Let’s break the paralysis: Look around the room you are in right now. What is ONE tiny, grounded thing you can do today (e.g., “wash my coffee mug,” “water the plant”)? Write it in the comments and let’s hold each other accountable to doing just one thing.
