“If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?” — 1 Corinthians 12:17 (NIV)
The Church of England’s selection criteria can sometimes feel like a factory mould, designed to produce a very specific, highly organised, neurotypical type of priest. But a body made entirely of academic administrators would be blind to the messy, spontaneous movements of the Spirit. Your “spiky” profile—your ADHD energy or your dyslexic lateral thinking—is a necessary organ the Church is currently missing.
The Question: What neurodivergent trait of yours have you been trying to hide, that the Church actually desperately needs?
